My biggest concern is the fact that I am calling the Cassandra Java API and passing in the names of the threads in my consumer. As I understand this is an inefficient way of doing things, because Cassandra is not written in Java. I am using Cassandra 1.1.8. What I am planning to do now is to do the following: Write a java class which will communicate with the Cassandra cluster through Java, or some other language to create the queries. Execute the queries concurrently on the nodes in a very efficient manner I am wondering whether it is a good idea to use a separate JVM for executing the queries. Is there anything in the API which can help me in doing it efficiently?
